Latest: South Cotswold Covid Vaccination Programme (03/03/21 Update)

We are currently taking a lot of call from patients about the Covid-19 vaccination, eligibility and when patients can expect to be vaccinated. We completely understand that patients are keen to get their vaccinations but would like to reiterate that we will text, telephone or write to patients when we are able to book them in for a vaccination. Please do not telephone the surgery to find out when your vaccination will be.

We have so far invited patients from 65 upwards for their first vaccination and are currently working through our Cohort 6 patients aged 16-64 with underlying health conditions and carers. We will continue to invite patients to receive the vaccine in the priority order set out by the government and based on vaccine availability.

Patients may also receive a national NHS letter inviting them to make an appointment at a large vaccination site (e.g. Bath Racecourse). You are able to do this but you may also wish to wait until you receive an invitation from us inviting you to an appointment at Cirencester Hospital. Please be patient as we are working through our patient list as quickly as vaccine supply allows and if you are within the cohort we are inviting, we will have your details on our patient list.

We are also now starting to invite patients who had their first vaccination between the 21st and 24th December for their second vaccination at Cirencester Hospital. Patients will receive the same vaccine type for their second dose as they were given for their first.

We expect this 11 week timescale to continue for all patients who have had their first Covid vaccination so patients who received their vaccination after those dates can expect to be contacted in due course for their second dose appointment as we receive confirmation on the vaccine arrangements.
